CIGNA Behavioral Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a standard benefit in all the New Jersey League’s healthcare programs.  The EAP is a service designed to assess employee productivity and morale problems, followed by referrals and/or short-term counseling.  It encourages employees and their dependents to obtain professional assistance before personal problems interfere with work productivity or safety.  CIGNA Behavioral Health’s goal is to help your employees attain the best quality of health, well-being and overall productivity possible by ensuring early access to appropriate, cost-effective care.

 

CIGNA Behavioral Health offers a nationwide network of psychologists, social workers and certified substance abuse counselors who provide confidential face-to-face assessment, brief therapy, and referral-to-treatment for employees and their dependents.  EAP counselors act as patient advocates by helping participants define the problem, by identifying the treatment needed, and by directing participants to the most appropriate resource.
